News - Umicore – SAP ABAP WebDynpro

I started working on a new ABAP WebDynpro application at Umicore for allowing business users to approve pending changes on Environmental, Health & Safety Dangerous goods transportation data. Once approved, the changes are distributed into the respective SAP backend systems for usage on various output documents.

ABAP WebDynpro is a great web technology which allows for a ‘Model Control View’ development approach for displaying SAP content as a web application. ‘Model’ and ‘Control’ are developed using ABAP Object Oriented principles while the ‘View’ is ‘designed’ using a standard set of Javascript-driven HTML controls.
